Charismatic 13 yr. old pop/dance artist Aliyah Moulden already knows that dreams do come true if you’re willing to work hard. Her dedication for the past 4 years resulted in her national debut at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, featuring Disney stars. She also had the opportunity to perform at American Idol Finalist Todrick Hall’s show Twerk du Soleil. Her latest performance was with Platinum singer, songwriter, actor Jesse McCartney.
Originally from Annapolis, Maryland, Aliyah now calls Los Angeles her home. She credits the first song she learned to sing, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, as the inspiration to make music her life. To the surprise of her mother, Aliyah signed up on a website to audition when she was only seven. Soon after, she began her serious study of voice, acting and dance. An avid reader of The Fault in Our Stars and Hunger Games series, Aliyah makes time to enjoy video games with her brother, shopping for clothes and shoes with friends and decorating her room when the seasons change. “I am following my dreams but having fun while getting there.”
Aliyah’s soulful vocals in numbers like, Word Up and If I Ain’t Got you are a clear indication that she doesn’t sing merely to entertain, but rather to inspire and empower others. “I also want to use my talent in supporting causes such as anti-bullying and in fund-raising for charities like animal shelters and non-profit organizations.” Young Miss Moulden is a rising star on a mission. Her powerful voice, positive energy and dedication to singing, acting and dance will surely take Aliyah somewhere over the rainbow.
